March 22nd, 2022: Memphis, TN – Today, eight Memphis-based artists are proud to launch an art collective called Artkognito. Artkognito is a multidisciplinary artist collective that operates through a cooperative model, sharing labor and resources to lift the collective by supporting the individual artists. Artkognito elevates members’ unique artistic pursuits and shares a common commitment to curiosity, fun, liberation, playfulness, and community. They will be announcing the launch of a shared platform on April 1st, 2022, which will include regular content from each member and from which the patronage is split equally among members.

 

Artkognito features songwriters & musicians, visual artists, dancers, and a tattoo artist. Though these are the artists’ primary mediums, the artist collective ranges a multitude of forms, including poetry, community organizing & activism, graphic design, parenting, animation, teaching, and more.
