Nate Smith

Nate Smith is a musician and a producer. As a musician, Nate is a multi-instrumentalist secret weapon who emphasizes melody and feel in his playing. Nate is a classically-trained pianist and trumpet player; a self-taught guitarist, drummer, mandolinist, and more. Nate was the frontman and co-writer for the punk band Kenny and the Swordfish from 2010-2015, a multi-instrumentalist for Name & the Nouns, and currently performs in Aktion Kat as Smarty Kat. As a producer, Nate prizes collaboration and experimentation, always working towards the best version of a song and making sure not to record anything that doesn’t make the song better. He has co-produced Emily Rooker’s album The Next Morning and is currently co-producing two forthcoming albums, Emily Rooker’s The Long Goodbye and Tony de Velasco’s Maximum Strength.
